A Chrome helper for the YouTube Skip button wait
When a skippable YouTube commercial break starts, the waiting time before the Skip button can feel longer than the break itself. Skipper is built for that exact moment: it helps speed through eligible commercial breaks and restores normal playback afterward.
What problem does it solve?
Many YouTube viewers do not mind continuing to the video, but they do mind loud interruptions and repeated waiting before the Skip button becomes available.
Skipper focuses on that small but frequent friction point. It works as a playback helper inside the visible YouTube page.
How Skipper helps
During an eligible commercial break, Skipper can raise playback speed up to 16× and mute the break while it plays.
When the visible Skip button appears, Skipper helps playback continue past the break and then restores the normal speed and sound state.
What it does not do
Skipper does not intercept network requests, does not use webRequest, does not use the debugger API, and does not run on every website.
It runs only on YouTube pages and stores only a local ON/OFF preference in the browser.
