● COMMERCIAL BREAK · MUTED
What it does
↗
Ad playback acceleration
During an eligible commercial break, Skipper can raise playback speed up to 16× and mute audio while the break plays.
⏭
Skip-button jump
When the visible Skip button appears on the page, Skipper helps playback continue past the break.
◉
Video stays unchanged
Skipper does not change the main video. Normal speed and sound come back after the commercial break.
✓
No request interception
No webRequest, no debugger API, no all_urls permission, and no backend service.
How it works
1
Commercial break detected
Skipper runs only on YouTube pages and watches the visible player state. No active break means no playback change.
2
Playback speeds up and audio is muted
During an eligible commercial break, playback can speed up to 16× and audio is muted while the break plays.
3
Your video resumes normally
When the break ends, Skipper restores the previous playback speed and sound state.

✓No personal data collection
✓No browsing history collection
✓No backend server
✓No analytics inside extension
✓No account required
✓No third-party data transfer
